Besides the 5th International Conference on ICT4D to be held in Lusaka this year, there is another huge ICT gathering on African soil – the ICT Security summit scheduled in kenya for May this year.

As far as I know Zambia is not represented at any level (at least not at the International speaker level), so if you know more about Zambia’s role in this summit it would be nice to hear from you.

5 REASONS TO ATTEND:
  • Hear a candid mix of how heads of information security are actually responding to current threats & responses.

  • Meet & build trust based relationships with peers & an international panel of security experts from across Africa, Europe & beyond.

  • Bring back proven information security strategies to reinvigorate & hone a top ICT & information security team.

  • Stay one step ahead of rapidly changing business environments & emerging threats: make progress on protecting data, intellectual property & identities by employing the correct policies, people & technology.

  • Don’t’ miss the interactive CISO Roundtable Africa 2010 – the ideal place to meet global security industry leaders & network with professionals who face a similar set of challenges as you.
AGENDA AT A GLANCE:

  • Day 1: Pre-Summit Workshop:
Effective ICT Security & Governance for Executives, Senior Managers, ICT Practitioners & Auditors

  • Day 2&3: ICT Security Africa Summit:
    - Includes Interactive Roundtables.
    - Stream A: Managing Forensic Risks & Digital Evidence for Investigations.
    - Stream B: Information Security for Banks & Financial Services.

  • DAY 3: Chief Information Security Officers’ Roundtable Africa.

As you can see this is an important summit given Zambia’s current situation in ICT. We still have a few days before the deadline 17th March, 2010. It would be nice to have representation at some level.
